2015 update...
I've not been well recently and bikes have not been my priority, but a bit of progress has been ticking over in the background. I have got the correct tank decals now, from :-
Auto ArkivAdresse: Spelnäs 19, 686 93 Sunne, SverigeTelefon+46 565 137 80
With some help from my Harley riding Swedish colleague at work ... Thanks Andreas !
The silver paint is now back from my preferred painter Tony at Cycle Sprays of Cranleigh.

So, just waiting for the rest of the paint now and it'll be on with the restoration....

How I acquired the bike
I just came across some old pictures of when I acquired the Husqvarna... It was in quite a mess !
It reminded me of how I acquired it....
You can see in the picture below that the frame was hacked about by the time I had got it, the picture below shows it pretty well 100% original. The picture above shows added reinforcement and several of the features had been hacked off. All of these had to be put back to original.
The owner before Ron Philips at Fahron (whom I had got the bike from), had adapted it to take a Triumph engine... What sacrilege !
I had shared a pit (and stayed at the same hotel) with Kent Andersson at Spa Francorchamps, and had met him several times whilst riding with Ferry Brouwers Yamaha Classic Racing Team. At the 1st Assen Centennial (several years ago now !) my TA125 Yamaha was Kent's reserve bike, so it was kind of a no brainer when I was offered his old Husqvarna. Ron had known I knew Kent and knew that I was pretty good at bringing unusual bikes back from the dead, to their former glory, and wanted me to have it.
